NARS 不少經典產品也有獨特的名字,如「Orgasm」、「Deep Throat」以及「G Spot」等,所以當品牌最近發放出新唇膏廣告,大家對影片內的性暗示也不足為奇。NARS 於 Instagram 上發布了一段短片,展示新唇膏「Morocco」,由陰莖狀、類似皮膚的質地,慢慢變成有 NARS logo 的標準唇膏形狀,同時附上 caption「When the nudes keep you up all night」,意思顯而易見。

NARS 此舉當然是大膽的營銷策略,但並非完全出乎意料。雖然有不少忠實用家也期待著新產品的來臨,但有些人卻感到非常驚訝,甚至感覺被冒犯了。

NARS 創辦人 François Nars 曾在訪問中提及,他一直希望為品牌暢銷的產品命名,以此作為給予他們一個「身份」。透過一個具體的名字,他深信消費者會更愛上這個產品,因為名字為產品增添個性。

上月 Benefit 亦發布了一段幽默廣告,片段中以粉底液和化妝棉的動作模擬了性愛過程,同樣掀起話題。其實不論是美容抑或時裝品牌,這樣的營銷手法其實也不是第一次,亦不是最後一次,見怪不怪。尤其當 NARS 有整個「高潮」系列,同時又有「climax」睫毛液、「deep throat」、「undress me」胭脂以及「sex machine」唇膏筆,這次的廣告其實也是預計之中。
